Much respect to J.Cole, while some Hip Hop artists have been all talk and no action or even silent on the unrest in Ferguson; J.Cole has not only made a track in memorial of Mike Brown, but has gone to Ferguson. This is extremely important, it gives the locals there more hope and to reaffirm that there are plenty of Americans that stand behind/with them.
“A definite voice of the people has been socially reflective spitter J.Cole who on Wednesday took to twitter to make the poignant and powerful statement”
STOP FUCKIN KILLIN US
— J. Cole (@JColeNC) August 13, 2014
“Then on friday he released the pure emotion of a track “Free” , not to be confused with the criminally slept on, socially conscious and lyrically ridiculous “Get Free” Cole dropped in 2013.
Now it seem’s Cole has taken it a step further by actually going to Ferguson, MO to support the people.
The always eloquent and deep thinking rap veteran Talib Kweli is now also headed to Ferguson to show support, and in case you are wondering why, he let everyone implicilty know why earlier today on twitter.”

“Cole did not announce his trip to the St. Louis suburb prior to showing up in the town, but his appearance was captured by residents that then shared the moment on social media. Several people posted photos of the Roc Nation emcee at the site where Brown was gunned down and video of him embracing the crowd.”
